Mohammed Essajee
After 20 years experience running Wigston DIY- a hardware and ironmongery business in Wigston, Leicester, Mohammed teamed up with Simon in 2009 and the Interiors By Design journey began.
As one of the Managing Directors of the company, Mohammed looks after the sales and kitchen design side of the business.
You can find him enjoying a coffee with our Clients in the Interiors By Design, Leicester Showroom or onsite doing surveys.
Mohammed says, “The whole kitchen fitting process can be a stressful one for the Client and our vision is to make this experience as positive and stress-free as possible.
As well as creating beautiful bespoke family kitchens, we have worked alongside several Developers on some fantastic housing projects.
Our small business has grown from just the two of us to a strong Team of seven and we are look forward to expanding in London and thoughout the Midlands.”
Simon Colebourne
Simon boasts 20 years experience as a kitchen fitter. He teamed up with Mohammed in 2009 to create bespoke Kitchen and Bedroom business – Interiors By Design and has not looked back since.
With his background in mechanical engineering,
Simon manages the manufacturing side of the business.
His precision and attention to detail ensures each cabinet is made to a high standard and no kitchen leaves the Workshop without his seal of approval!
He says, “ A lot of the time, larger companies don’t even see their customer kitchens going out.
For us, creating a bespoke kitchen means you get to decide on a space that suits your lifestyle and needs.

Gerard Halpine
Gerard Halpine aka Gez has been part of the Interiors By Design Family, for over nine years.
With many years of experience in the kitchen trade, Gez ensures that your kitchen is manufactured to the highest standard.
After working out the number of boards required for each project, Gez will work alongside Simon to put the components of your kitchen together.
Lewis Richardson
Lewis started his six plus years journey with us as part of the Sales Team in the Showroom. Rapid growth within our small business, meant he quickly became our Operations Manager.
Once your dream kitchen is finalised, the plans are handed over to Lewis, who ensures that the manufacturing team has everything they need to crack on with the job.
His good humour and personality allows for a good rapport with our on-site fitters.

Frances
Frances joined us at the beginning of August 2022 and has already made herself a valuable member of the Interiors By Design Family.
