IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP

Interiors by Design has its own in-house workshop in Leicester supervised by Simon Colebourne, a long-established local kitchen fitter. The firm has recently made substantial investment in new manufacturing machinery to fine-tune production. Every kitchen or bedroom carcass is colour-coordinated to match the doors and there is no flat-pack assembly necessary.

IN-HOUSE MANUFACTURERS

Most units are made in-house, arriving on-site ready for installation. However, we can also supply a level-entry flat pack-fitted system for use by tradesmen working in the rentals market. The main door supplier for domestic kitchens is Second Nature owned by PWS Distributors, an award-winning, independent firm based in the North East that is selected for its front-running design and customer service.

BUILT TO LAST

Hallmarked by high-quality workmanship and installed by recognised fitters in the trade, Interiors By Design sets out to provide mid to high-end kitchens and bedrooms that not only look good, but are also built to last. Although most of our projects are local, word-of-mouth recommendation has taken our company nationwide and one of our fitted kitchens featured on TV’s Homes under the Hammer, which is a reflection of the firm’s established pedigree.

SPOILED FOR CHOICE

Thousands of modern and traditional handle options can change the look with the turn of a screw, while worktops also alter the finished appeal, whether you opt for mottled granite, Corian™, solid timber, or a laminate surface. There are varied options in sinks, taps, tiles, and lighting that add further permutations to impress. Our director Mohammed says: “People spend a lot of time in the kitchen and are becoming more adventurous with the finished look, so we are increasingly seeing a more mix-and-match approach, with maybe more than one colour in a total scheme that may also include different worktops, according to how they will be used”

TRENDY DESIGNS

Current trends remain in the ongoing appeal of glossy, contemporary, handle-less units with soft-close drawers. More recently, the subtle look of solid oak has arrived on the scene, which is spray-painted to display the grain of the timber beneath a fine layer of colour. This provides a more traditional look with cutting-edge style. The oak effect also comes in a slightly more affordable vinyl format, which is hard to distinguish from real timber.
